The Berklee College of Music leadership team turned to Vision to help present a potentially mundane message to their community: the strategic direction of the college for the next five years. Because the goals were layered and had significant crossover into various areas of the college, we came up with the idea of creating a wheel or “volvelle.” While the functionality was quite simple, the planning was wildly complex. Each selection on the wheel needed to communicate three items: 1. one of five areas of focus that Berklee wanted to improve upon; 2. a specific topic within that area, and; 3. a detailed description of the action needed to make this initiative successful. These were given out to all faculty and staff at convocation that year.
